Pharmaprogress – Our site in Ancona / Italy
Pharmaprogress s.r.l. was legally founded in 1999 by former Angelini group executive and began operating as a CRO in 2001. A 700m2 fit-to-purpose laboratory was built in Camerata Picena, near Ancona and was GMP approved by Italian Health Authorities.
In 2016 Pharmaprogress became part of the Kymos group, and in 2023 the facilities were moved to Monsano where a new laboratory of 1800m2 was built. The new facilities official inauguration took place on May 2024.
Pharmaprogress Facilities
Kymos’ Italian subsidiary Pharmaprogress is located in a small industrial area in Monsano, surrounded by other pharma companies and 20 kilometers away from Ancona, the capital of the Marche region. The GMP-certified standalone site has around 1800m2 of facilities and an additional 31 staff divided in two main laboratory departments:
• Stabilities, Analytical Development and Validation
• Quality Control of Small Molecules (aka Quality & Mass Spectrometry)
Pharmaprogress is fully equipped for the development and validation of analytical methods for raw materials, APIs, intermediate and finished products, stress testing, work with OINDPs, Nitrosamine screenings, extractables & leachables, unknown impurities identification and stability assays with storage chambers under all ICH climatic conditions. The site also has an archive; data room for servers; emergency power generator; technical gases box and emergency systems as well as general offices, cafeteria, meeting rooms, quality assurance and management.
