Particle Analytical ApS was founded in 2000 in Denmark as a specialized analytical CRO, focused on particle characterization and solid-state analysis for the pharmaceutical industry.

Based in Hørsholm, the company has developed strong expertise in the physicochemical characterization of APIs and excipients, supporting formulation development, manufacturing processes, and product quality.

In 2026, Particle Analytical became part of Kymos Group and now operates as Kymos Denmark.

Our Laboratories in Denmark

Kymos’ Danish subsidiary, formerly Particle Analytical, is located in Hørsholm, within the DTU Science Park, north of Copenhagen and close to a dynamic life sciences environment.

The site is a GMP-certified analytical laboratory, equipped to support pharmaceutical development through specialized particle characterization and solid-state analysis. The facilities include dedicated laboratory areas, sample preparation and storage, as well as quality and support functions.

Kymos Denmark focuses on three main areas:

Particle Characterization
Solid-State Analysis
Physicochemical Characterization of APIs and Excipients

The laboratory is equipped with advanced analytical techniques such as XRPD, Raman spectroscopy, and particle size analysis, supporting method development, validation, and routine GMP testing.
